My bathroom extractor fan is not working?

A common fault request that Green Electrical regularly undertakes. It's often that the existing bathroom extractor fan motor has burnt out and the complete unit needs replacing. Before calling an electrician to fault find and repair, the majority of bathroom extractor fan are operated with a in-line three-pole fan isolator. If the isolator is switched off then the bathroom extractor fan will not work, which can cause confusion if the bathroom lights are still working. Most bathroom extractor fan isolators are located outside of the bathroom, above the light switch or bathroom door.
